Our integration lets you seamless connect your Uplisting and Folio accounts, allowing you to import property information from Uplisting to create guidebooks more quickly.
To connect your Uplisting account:
Log in to your Uplisting account. Go to your Connect tab, then select the API Key page. Click Copy API Key to copy the key to your clipboard.
Then log in to your Folio account. Click your name in the bottom left corner of the dashboard (on desktop) or the upper right hand corner (on mobile).
Go to Integrations → Manage, find the Uplisting tile, and click the Connect button.
Enter your Uplisting API key into the text box provided, then click Connect.
Once you are connected, you’ll be redirected back to the Integrations page, and the button in the Uplisting tile should say Connected. Now you are ready to import your property information!
You can create a guidebook by first importing some basic information from your property listings in your Uplisting account. The information imported for each property is the property name, address, and primary photo.
To get started:
Connect to Uplisting (see above for detailed instructions).
On the Guide Dashboard page, click the Add Guidebook button, then select the Import from PMS option.
In the popup, you’ll see a list of the properties listed in your Uplisting account that are available for import. Select the properties for which you wish to create a guide, then click Import Selected.
A Draft guide will be created for each property that was selected with the property name, address and photo.
Click on a guide tile to add additional information for that guide. Then publish and share your guide with guests.
Your Folio guidebook is shared with guests via a unique link. You can add this link as a custom property attribute in Uplisting, and include it as a dynamic field in the automated messages you send to your guests (meaning it will automatically insert the specific property’s guidebook link).
First, you need to create a Custom property attribute in Uplisting in order to save a guide link for each property. To do so:
Log in to your Uplisting account. Go to your Connect tab, then the Custom property attributes page.
If you haven’t created any custom property attributes yet, click Create your first custom property attribute. If you already have some, click Add a new custom property attribute.
Enter the custom attribute name and description, then click Save attribute. We suggest using folio_guide_link.
Now, the property attribute folio_guide_link will be available for all of your properties.
To add your Folio guide links to your Uplisting properties, you will need to copy the link from your Folio guide and paste it into your Uplisting listing.
Log in to your Folio account. Click on a guide’s tile to open the Guide Details Page, then click Guide Link.
You will see a popup to manage your guide link. Click Copy to Clipboard to copy the link to your guide.
Log in to your Uplisting account. Click on a property listing, and go to the Attributes screen.
Paste your Folio guide link into the folio_guide_link attribute field. Click Save.
Repeat the process for all Uplisting properties that have a Folio guide.
Now you are ready to automatically send your Folio guide link to guests! To set up automated message in Uplisting:
Log in to your Uplisting account. Click on the Outbound tab, and you will see a list of all automated outbound messages.
Click the message you want to edit. Insert your guide link attribute by clicking the folio_guide_link button under Custom property attribute tags, or by typing {{{folio_guide_link}}}.
Scroll down and click Save Rule to save your changes. Remember to toggle the message Status to On. The toggle will be green when enabled.
