Connect to OwnerRez

Our integration lets you seamless connect your OwnerRez and Folio accounts, allowing you to import property information from OwnerRez to create guidebooks faster. We also automatically send your guidebook link back to OwnerRez, allowing you to include it in your automated messaging to guests.

To connect to your OwnerRez account:

1. Log in to your Folio account.

2. Click your name in the bottom left corner of the dashboard (on desktop) or the upper right hand corner (on mobile).

3. Go to Integrations → Manage, find the OwnerRez tile, and click the Connect button.

   

4. You will be redirected to an OwnerRez login page. Log in with your OwnerRez credentials. If are having issues with this step, please reach out to OwnerRez support.

   

5. Click Authorize Folio to allow the connection between your Folio and OwnerRez accounts.

   

6. Once you are connected, you’ll be redirected back to the Integrations page, and the button in the OwnerRez tile should say Connected. Now you are ready to import your property information!

Import Property Information to Create Guide

You can create a guidebook by first importing some basic information from your property listings in your OwnerRez account. The information imported for each property is the property name, address, and primary photo.

To get started:

1. Connect to OwnerRez (see above for detailed instructions).

2. On the Guide Dashboard page, click the Add Guidebook button, then select the Import from PMS option.

3. In the popup, you’ll see a list of the properties listed in your OwnerRez account that are available for import. Select the properties for which you wish to create a guide, then click Import Selected.

   

4. A Draft guide will be created for each property that was selected with its name, address, the first photo, and property URL.

   

5. Click on a guide tile to add additional information for that guide. When ready, publish your guide to automatically send the guide link back to OwnerRez.

   

Custom “Folio Guide URL” Field in OwnerRez

Once you publish your guide, your guidebook link is automatically sent to OwnerRez. A custom field called folio_guide_url will be created in your OwnerRez account, and it will contain the link to your guide. If you update the link on your Folio dashboard, it will automatically get updated in OwnerRez as well.

To view your guidebook link in OwnerRez, clicked the Properties Tab, and then Custom Fields. Your Folio guidebook URL will be listed under the custom field folio_guide_url.

Link a Property to an Existing Guide

If you created Folio guidebooks prior to connecting to OwnerRez, you can link a property in the PMS to an existing guidebook. This will send the guidebook link back to OwnerRez, and also enable future syncing of information between the two.

1. Connect to your PMS provider (see above for detailed instructions).

2. On the Guide Dashboard page, click the Add Guidebook button, then select the Import from PMS option.

3. In the popup, you’ll see a list of the properties listed in your PMS provider, and a column titled Assign to Guide. For each property you wish to link, select the corresponding Folio guidebook in that column. When you are done, click Import Selected.

   

4. For the properties you’ve assigned guidebooks to, the guidebook’s link has automatically been sent to OwnerRez. You will be able to view it in the OwnerRez properties tab.

   Note that this only creates a link between a Folio guidebook and a an OwnerRez property. If there are data differences between the guidebook and the information in OwnerRez, nothing will be overridden unless you request a sync (see below for details).

Sync Information from OwnerRez to Folio

If you update your property name, address, photo or property URL in OwnerRez, you can request a sync to update the information in the linked guidebook.

Syncing will replace existing information in your guidebook with the current information from your OwnerRez listing. Here is how information is mapped between OwnerRez and Folio:
