Connect to Lodgify

Our integration lets you seamless connect your Lodgify and Folio accounts, allowing you to import rental information from Lodgify to create guidebooks more quickly.

To connect your Lodgify account:

  1. Log in to your Lodgify account. Go to your Navigation tab, then select the Settings page. Then select the Public API page. Click Copy API Key to copy the key to your clipboard.

  2. Then log in to your Folio account. Click your name in the bottom left corner of the dashboard (on desktop) or the upper right hand corner (on mobile).

  3. Go to Integrations → Manage, find the Lodgify tile, and click the Connect button.

  4. Enter your Lodgify API key into the text box provided, then click Connect.

  5. Once you are connected, you’ll be redirected back to the Integrations page, and the button in the Lodgify tile should say Connected. Now you are ready to import your rental information!

Import Rental Information to Create Guide

You can create a guidebook by first importing some basic information from the rentals in your Lodgify account. The information imported for each rental is the property name, address, and primary photo.

To get started:

  1. Connect to Lodgify (see above for detailed instructions).

  2. On the Guide Dashboard page, click the Add Guidebook button, then select the Import from PMS option.

  3. In the popup, you’ll see a list of the properties listed in your Lodgify account that are available for import. Select the properties for which you wish to create a guide, then click Import Selected.

  4. A Draft guide will be created for each rental that was selected with the property name, address and photo.

  5. Click on a guide tile to add additional information for that guide. Then publish and share your guide with guests.

Send Guests Your Guide Through Lodgify

Your Folio guidebook is shared with guests via a unique link. You can add this link to your Operational Placeholders in Lodgify, and use them in the automated messages you send to your guests. It will automatically use the specific rental’s Folio guide link.

To add your Folio guide links to your Lodgify rentals, you will need to copy the link from Folio and paste it into your Lodgify rental’s operational placeholder for Local Guide.

  1. Log in to your Folio account. Click on a guide’s tile to open the Guide Details Page, then click Guide Link.

  2. You will see a popup to manage your guide link. Click Copy to Clipboard to copy the link to your guide.

  3. Log in to your Lodgify account. Go to your Rentals tab, then select a rental, then click on Operational placeholders, then scroll down to Local guide. Paste your Folio guide link into the Local guide memo field. Click Save.

  4. Repeat the process for all Lodgify properties that have a Folio guide.

  5. Now you are ready to send Folio guide link to your guests in automatic responses and saved replies by typing {{LocalGuide}} in a message!

Link a Rental to an Existing Guide

If you created Folio guidebooks prior to connecting to Lodgify, you can link a rental to an existing guidebook. This will enable future syncing of information between the two.

  1. Connect to Lodgify (see above for detailed instructions).

  2. On the Guide Dashboard page, click the Add Guidebook button, then select the Import from PMS option.

  3. In the popup, you’ll see a list of the properties listed in your PMS provider, and a column titled Assign to Guide. For each rental you wish to link, select the corresponding Folio guidebook in that column. When you are done, click Import Selected.

  4. Note that this only creates a link between a Folio guidebook and a an Lodgify rental. If there are data differences between the guidebook and the information in Lodgify, nothing will be overridden unless you request a sync (see below for details).

Sync Information from Lodgify to Folio

If you update your property name, address or primary photo in Lodgify, you can request a sync to update the information in the linked guidebook.

Syncing will replace existing information in your guidebook with the current information from your Lodgify rental. Here is how information is mapped between Lodgify and Folio:

To sync information:

  1. In your Folio dashboard, click on the guide for which you want to sync information.

  2. On the Guide Details Page, click Sync in the row that says Sync Property Info to Guide.

  3. You will see a popup asking you to confirm that information from your Lodgify rental will be used to update the information in your Folio guidebook.

  4. Click Sync to confirm.
