Connect to Hostaway

Connecting your Hostaway account to Folio allows you to import basic listing information from Hostaway to set up your Folio guides. The connection also also sends each Folio guide link back to Hostaway so you can use it in automated messages to guests.

For existing Folio customers who use Hostaway

1. Log in to your Folio account.

2. Click your name in the bottom left corner of the dashboard (on desktop) or the upper right hand corner (on mobile).

3. Go to Integrations → Manage, find the Hostaway tile, and click the Connect button.

   

4. On the next screen, you’ll be asked for an Account ID and API key from your Hostaway account (see below for where to get the information from your Hostaway account).

   

5. Log into Hostaway and click on the Marketplace option on the left sidebar in your dashboard. Select either “Guidebooks” or “Guest Experience” from the dropdown categories, and click Connect on the Folio tile.

   

To create a Hostaway API Key:

1. Log into Hostaway and click on the Marketplace option on the left sidebar in your dashboard.

2. Click the Hostaway API tab across the top.

3. Click the Create + button.

   

4. In the pop-up, name your API key “Folio” and then click the Create button.

   

5. In the next pop up, your Account ID and API key is shown. Keep this page open, or save both values in another location.

   

Import Listing Information to Create Folio Guide

You can import basic information from your listings in Hostaway to set-up a Folio guide. The information imported for each listing is the property name, address, and primary photo.

To get started:

1. Connect to Hostaway (see above for detailed instructions).

2. On the Guide Dashboard page, click the Add a Guide button, then select the Import from PMS option.

3. In the popup, you’ll see a list of the properties listed in your Hostaway account that are available for import. Select the properties for which you wish to create a guide, then click Import Selected.

   

4. A Draft guide will be created for each property that was selected with the property nickname, address and photo.

   

5. Click on a guide tile to add additional information for that guide. Then publish and share your guide with guests.
