Connect to Guesty

Our integration lets you seamless connect your Guesty and Folio accounts, allowing you to import property information from Guesty to create guidebooks more quickly.

To connect your Guesty account:

  1. Log in to your Guesty account. Navigate to the Folio partnership page by using this link, or visiting your Integrations tab, visiting the Marketplace page, and search for Folio.

  2. On the Folio partnership page, click the Connect button in the upper right hand corner. You will see a popup with an API key. Click to copy the API key to your clipboard.

  3. Then log in to your Folio account. Click your name in the bottom left corner of the dashboard (on desktop) or the upper right hand corner (on mobile).

  4. Go to Integrations → Manage, find the Guesty tile, and click the Connect button.

  5. Paste your Guesty API key into the text box provided, then click Connect.

  6. Once you are connected, you’ll be redirected back to the Integrations page, and the button in the Guesty tile should say Connected. Now you are ready to import your property information!

Import Listing Information to Create Guide

You can create a guidebook by first importing some basic information from your property listings in your Guesty account. The information imported for each listing is the listing nickname, address, and primary photo.

To get started:

  1. Connect to Guesty (see above for detailed instructions).

  2. On the Guide Dashboard page, click the Add a Guide button, then select the Import from PMS option.

  3. In the popup, you’ll see a list of the properties listed in your Guesty account that are available for import. Select the properties for which you wish to create a guide, then click Import Selected.

  4. A Draft guide will be created for each property that was selected with the property nickname, address (Full Address) and photo.

  5. Click on a guide tile to add additional information for that guide. Then publish and share your guide with guests.

“Folio” Tag & Custom “Folio Guide URL” Field in Guesty

Once you publish your guide, your guidebook link is automatically sent to Guesty. Each listing with a synced Folio guide will have a Folio tag associated with it.

In addition, a custom field called FOLIOGUIDEURL will be created for Guesty listing, and it will contain the link to your guide. If you update the link on your Folio dashboard, it will automatically get updated in Guesty as well.

To view your guidebook link in Guesty:

  1. Clicked the Listings tab, and then click on the listing you wish to view.

  2. Your Folio guidebook URL will be listed under the Additional Information section with the field name FOLIOGUIDEURL.

  3. You can use the field in your message templates when sending guests automated messages.

Link a Property to an Existing Guide

If you created Folio guidebooks prior to connecting to Guesty, you can link a property in the PMS to an existing guidebook. This will enable future syncing of information between the two.

  1. Connect to Guesty (see above for detailed instructions).

  2. On the Guide Dashboard page, click the Add a Guide button, then select the Import from PMS option.

  3. In the popup, you’ll see a list of the properties listed in your PMS provider, and a column titled Assign to Guide. For each property you wish to link, select the corresponding Folio guidebook in that column. When you are done, click Import Selected.

  4. Note that this only creates a link between a Folio guidebook and a an Guesty property. If there are data differences between the guidebook and the information in Guesty, nothing will be overridden unless you request a sync (see below for details).

Sync Information from Guesty to Folio

If you update your listing nickname, address or primary photo in Guesty, you can request a sync to update the information in the linked guidebook.
