Adding Payment Information

You can add your payment information as soon as your account is created, or while publishing your first guide.

To add your payment info prior to publishing your first guide:

  1. Log in to your account.

  2. Click your name in the bottom left corner of the dashboard (on desktop) or the upper right hand corner (on mobile).

  3. Click Add in the Billing Information row on the Profile & Settings page.

  4. In the popup, enter your billing email and your card information. Your billing email is where all billing-related communication, like payment reminders and invoice receipts, will be sent. When you are done, click Save & Continue.

To add your billing info while publishing your first guide:

  1. Click the Add Billing Info on the Guide Details page.

  2. In the first popup, enter your billing email and your card information. Your billing email is where all billing-related communication, like payment reminders and invoice receipts, will be sent. When you are done, click Save & Continue.

  3. In the next popup, review your subscription details and click Subscribe & Continue to publish your guide. Your card on file will be charged on a monthly basis.

To publish subsequent guides, there is no need to re-enter your billing information.

  1. Click the Pay and Publish on the Guide Details page.
  2. Review the changes to your subscription, then click Subscribe & Continue to publish your guide. Your card on file will be used for the invoice due today, and will continue to be charged on a monthly basis.

When you publish your first guidebook(s), you will automatically be subscribed to the monthly plan. When you publish an additional guide or remove an existing one, your subscription will be automatically updated to reflect the new number of published guides.

Billing Cycle

Your monthly billing cycle starts on the day you publish your first guidebook, and your card will be automatically charged on the same day each month. For example, if you publish your first guidebook on May 1st, you will be charged on the 1st of each month moving forward. The amount charged each month is automatically calculated based on the number of published guidebooks at the start of your subscription period.

When adding additional guidebooks, you will be charged once immediately when the guidebook is published, then monthly on your billing cycle start date. This initial charge is prorated based on how many days are left in the current billing cycle. See the following example:

May 1st: publishes 1st guidebook, $10 subscription fee is charged for 4/1 to 4/30

May 16th: publishes 2nd guidebook, $5 one-time fee is charged for 4/16 to 4/30

June 1st: new billing cycle starts: $20 subscription fee is charged for 5/1 to 5/31

Payments Methods

We partner with Stripe to manage your subscription and process payments. The following debit or credit cards are accepted: Visa, Mastercard, Discover & Diners, American Express, China UnionPay (CUP), and Japan Credit Bureau (JCB).

Note that we do not store any billing information, including card numbers, on our platform.
